Mullu Muruku
Muruku is a crispy and crunchy snack which is very popular all over India. Mullu means thorn. These muruku are in a shape of mullu / thorn so that's why then name mullu muruku. These delicious snacks are made specially during Diwali and Krishna Astami. My kids love these snack in any shape they are made. I have added besan along with rice flour in this recipe. Where as udad flour or sago flour are also added for few variations of Muruku. This recipe goes to Week 4 day 2 of Blogging Marathon 105 under the theme " Diwali Savories and Sweets". Ingredients: Rice flour 3 cups Besan / Gram flour 1 cup Carom seeds 1 tsp Sesame seeds 1 tbsp Chili powder 1 tbsp Salt to taste Butter / Ghee 4 tbsp Oil for deep frying Preparation: In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients and mix well.
