Palli Putnala Podi ~ Peanut & Roasted Bengal Gram Spice Powder
Palli Putnalu Podi or Peanut and Roasted Bengal gram spice powder is basically prepared in typical south Indian kitchen. Usually served with idly, dosa, uttapam etc. along with the regular coconut chutney or tomato chutney. Just dry roast all the ingredients and blend to fine or course powder. There are N number of spice powder to prepare. But for today am here with Peanut and Bengal Gram powder blended with roasted cumin seeds, red chili and garlic. I love to have this powder with hot steamed rice mixed with spicy mango pickle. Try it, you will love this spicy rice. Ingredients: Peanuts 1 cup Roasted Bengal Gram / Putnalu / Dalia 1 cup Cumin seeds 2 spoons Dry red chilies 10 ( depends how spicy you want) Garlic cloves 3 Salt to taste Preparation: Dry roast peanuts and keep aside.
