Fruit and Nut cake

We need:


Yellow cake mix
Eggs 3
Water 1 cup
Oil 1/2 cup
Cashew nuts  10 chopped
Tooty fruity / cherries 1/4 cup


Method:


Just follow the instructions as on Cake mix by adding 3 eggs, oil and water.
Mix well with blender or hand mixer.
Add little all purpose flour to cherries and chopped cashews.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix these in cake mix and fold well.
Grease the cooking tray and transfer the mix into it.
Bake for 30minutes.
Just to see if the cake is fully bakes poke a knife or toothpick into the cake.
If the knife comes out clean, then the cake is ready.
Let it cool to serve.

Kaju Katli also known as Kaju burfi is an Indian dessert made of Cashew nuts and sugar. Kaju Katli  has been in my to do list for a quite some time. Finally I made it for this Diwali. Diamond sweet is one of   my son's favorite sweet, yes " Diamond Sweet " that is what he calls it. The texture was't that smooth that we get in market but the taste was awesome.  Typically, Cashew nuts are soaked in water overnight then ground it into paste and added to sugar syrup to make a smooth dough. Pizza Pinwheels ( 3 ingredient recipe )

Pizza Pinwheels a perfect evening snack.  It is super easy to prepare, even kids can make them with if they can handle the baking part. This recipe can be made with few more ingredients like your favorite veggies or meat. Chop and add them along with cheese and pizza sauce, roll , cut and bake. As the theme suggests for only 3 ingredients I have made basic pizza pinwheels. I have added triple cheddar cheese for this recipe, you can go ahead and add any cheese of your choice. SO this recipe goes tot he 3rd day of Blogging Marathon 85 under the theme " 3 Ingredient recipes". Ingredients: Puff pastry sheets 1 Pizza sauce 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese or any cheese of your choice 1 cup Preparation: Thaw the puff pastry sheets to room temperature. Tri - Color Milk Peda

Independence day in India is celebrated  as a national holiday. India's Independence from the  British Empire on August 15, 1947. On this day, the President of India delivers the "Address to the Nation" and the Prime Minister hoists the Indian Flag on the ramparts of  Red Fort in Delhi, the Capital city of India. The Indian national anthem " Jana Gana Mana " is sung. Parades and pageants showcase scenes from the Independence struggle and India's diverse cultural traditions. Similar  events take place in state capitals where the Chief Minister of the each state hoist the flag. The whole India celebrates the day with great joy. People wish each other and distribute sweets and snacks. Today I have made tri color milk peda to celebrate India's Independence Day. Of course we still have some time for August 15.
